Ottawa Riverkeeper is working tirelessly to ensure that each of us can enjoy and benefit from a clean and healthy river - today and tomorrow.  In 2009, our voice was heard!  Now, more than ever, we have the attention of government officials, polluters, leaders, decision makers, and citizens - like you - who care deeply for the river.

Together we are making a difference, and we need your help to continue pushing forward.

This past year has been a challenging one for the Ottawa River; Ottawa dumped a billion litres of untreated sewage into the river, harmful radioactive tritium was intentionally released into the river and beaches were shut down because of serious public health concerns.

But, we have a plan!  We’re working to bring municipal, provincial and federal decision makers together to develop a shared vision for the Ottawa River.  We’re working on a blueprint for the long-term protection of this river –
and together we can achieve our goals.
